OUR INSTRUCTORS

William (Bill) Hoferer

We are pleased to introduce Mr. William (Bill) Hoferer, Instructor for CZAR Inc. His experience offers a strong background in technical training, electrical and mechanical theory (all breaker types), and the development of new system wide training and maintenance programs.

His 38+ years of Maintenance Instructor and Supervision experience with Southern California Edison are a valuable contribution to pass on to field personnel. With experience ranging from Substation Maintenance Foreman to Instructor and Assistant Supervisor of Operations, his understanding of all aspects of the substation gives him the knowledge that will empower the trainee. Bill has been involved in implementing a breaker replacement program, including the latest lubrication techniques, resulting in the reduction of overall “minutes of interruption” system wide. As a Technical Instructor he was instrumental in the development and expansion of the Apprentice Electrician Training Program which is still in use today.

He is described as a dependable and trustworthy man who loves family & gives back to the community. He has served others by volunteering with his Church Youth group, Athletic Booster Club, Boy Scouts, and working with the disabled. He enjoys reading, backpacking, and hiking. His focus is to give back to the next generation the experience and knowledge he has gained.



Dale J. Noleroth

We are pleased to introduce Mr. Dale Noleroth, newest Instructor for CZAR Inc. His extensive experience includes Electronics Technician – US Coastguard, Substation Electrician, Technical Instructor – PG&E Apprentice School, and PG&E Operators School Instructor.

Dale is an individual who not only has enjoyed a diverse and successful 34+-year career with Pacific Gas & Electric, but also has served in a variety of capacities covering all aspects of Substation operation. For 15 years, he served as Safety Chairman for the Hayward Substation Department, Consultant for High Voltage Supply Company as a Load Tap Changer Specialist, he developed the initial field training for Electricians and Technicians in SCADA Maintenance and Installation, and has taught various subjects pertaining to all facets of Substation Operations and Equipment. He is a self-motivated team player who is a tremendous training resource to a new generation of utility field personnel as well as to those who manage and support them.

He is described as a reliable man who loves his family, the outdoors, and giving back to the community. He has served others by coaching handicapped children’s soccer as well as CYO Basketball. His focus is to give back to the next generation the experience and knowledge he has gained.
